The INDYCAR ButtKicker iRacing Pro Series has only two races remaining in the inaugural 2024 season, with the penultimate race Thursday night, Nov. 14 at Milwaukee Mile.
The top 33 INDYCAR competitors will return to an oval for the first of two final circle-track races to close out the season. Action on the 1-mile Milwaukee oval starts at 8 p.m. ET Thursday and can be watched via iRacing social channels, the NTT INDYCAR SERIES YouTube channel and website or at the video below.
Diogo Pinto has a sizable gap on the rest of the field, 35 points over his teammate Edoardo Leo and 43 points over oval specialist Philip Kraus. If the numbers trend the same way as they did in the first three oval races, it could end up being close at the top among these three drivers by the end of next week. Twelve drivers are still mathematically eligible for the title, but Pinto could also clinch the title a race early if things work out for him at Milwaukee.
Last Race:
In the road course finale for the 2024 season, Pinto reminded everyone why he's an iRacing World Champion.
Former Porsche TAG Heuer Esports Supercup champion Pinto put on the drive of his life, coming into the race only up by three points but extending it to 35 after a dominating run at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. Pinto started fourth but was in the lead by the fourth lap, running away to victory on alternate tires. With that win, he'll have a chance to clinch the championship at Milwaukee.
Next Up:
The season concludes Thursday night, Nov. 21 with a 114-lap race at Nashville Superspeedway to confirm a champion. Located in Lebanon, Tennessee, the 1.33-mile concrete oval is the final race to the real-world NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule, a race won by Colton Herta in 2024 and the site where Alex Palou was crowned a three-time champion a few months ago.
About the Series:
The inaugural INDYCAR ButtKicker iRacing Pro Series season features a purse of $50,000, with the champion taking home $20,000 at season's end. The 10 races scheduled include a fair mix of road courses and ovals that are often found on the real-world NTT INDYCAR SERIES schedule. Points are scored based on a similar system that the real-world series uses, with 50 points going to the winner and bonus points for laps led, most laps led and the pole award.
