Team Signs Talented Teen to Multiyear Deal
Arrow McLaren announced June 18 that the team has signed Nolan Siegel to a multiyear contract to drive its No. 6 Chevrolet in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES effective immediately.
Siegel, 19, from Palo Alto, California, will debut with the team this weekend at the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca as a teammate to Pato O’Ward and Alexander Rossi.
“I’m looking forward to jumping right in with the Arrow McLaren team this week and confirming my place in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in papaya moving forward,” Siegel said. “This is an unexpected jump, but I’m thrilled to be in this position after a rewarding run in the Indy NXT by Firestone series with HMD Motorsports. I am looking forward to this new journey and learning alongside the entire team starting this weekend in my home state.”
Siegel joins Arrow McLaren fresh off winning the LMP2 class in the prestigious 24 Hours of Le Mans on June 16 with United Autosports. He has competed the last two seasons in INDY NXT by Firestone with HMD Motorsports, winning two races last year en route to series Rookie of the Year honors and a third-place finish in the standings. Siegel opened this season with a victory on the streets of St. Petersburg.
In between INDY NXT races, Siegel also made his NTT INDYCAR SERIES debut this year with Dale Coyne Racing, competing in the exhibition race at The Thermal Club and making his points-paying debut in April at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach. Siegel failed to qualify for the Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge with DCR. He then substituted for veteran Agustin Canapino at Juncos Hollinger Racing earlier this month at Road America.
Siegel becomes the third competitor to drive the No. 6 this season for Arrow McLaren. Series veteran Callum Ilott drove the car at St. Petersburg, The Thermal Club and in the Indianapolis 500, while rookie Theo Pourchaire was behind the wheel at Long Beach, Barber Motorsports Park, the Sonsio Grand Prix on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, Detroit and Road America.

We’ve been working through musical chairs all season, and ultimately, making this change to Nolan now that he’s available gives us the chance to build a foundation for the future. He is a young, talented driver with an immense amount of experience at this stage of his career, and we’re excited to continue on the upward journey together.”
Siegel becomes the youngest driver on the NTT INDYCAR SERIES grid with this appointment. Arrow McLaren will announce its complete 2025 driver lineup in due course.
