Australia is suffering a devastating natural disaster and a pair of NTT IndyCar Series stars are asking for help for the people and animals impacted by the catastrophic wildfires.
Team Penske’s Will Power, a native of Toowoomba, Australia, is using his status as an Indy car champion and first Australian to win the Indianapolis 500 is asking fans to join him in helping his homeland in any way. In addition to his family's donation, Power has pledged his prize money from the season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg to the charities supporting wildfire relief.
Absolutely heartbreaking to see what is happening right now with the tragic bush fires back in Australia. I'm donating to help those affected, and supporting everyone fighting so hard on the front lines. If you're able to, I encourage you to donate as well. #AustraliaFires pic.twitter.com/L6pe23zJ9n

Andretti Autosport's Alexander Rossi, the 2016 Indianapolis 500 winner who competed in Australia's famed Bathurst 1000 for the first time in 2019, is auctioning off the helmet he wore at Mount Panorama (pictured above) to support the WIRES Wildlife Rescue, the largest wildlife rescue and rehabilitation charity in Australia.
You know what’s happening in Australia & millions of animals have died, which breaks my heart. V8 legend Scott McLaughlin inspired me to get involved & I’m auctioning off my '19 Bathurst 1000 helmet. Proceeds go to WIRES Wildlife Fund. https://t.co/oLcy6BqelS pic.twitter.com/bK7GTbfHzD
