Preparation for the 2011 return of the IZOD IndyCar Series begins in earnest Aug. 31 as Tony Kanaan and Scott Dixon participate in a Firestone Racing tire test at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.
The test (9 a.m.-5 p.m.) is free and open to the public. Race fans, who are welcome to bring in their own food and beverage, can see all of the action from the Concord grandstands.
The IZOD IndyCar Series race is scheduled for Aug. 14 on the one-mile oval. Purchase tickets by calling the ticket hotline at (603) 783-4931 or by visiting www.nhms.com.
