IZOD INDYCAR SERIES WARMUP:

10 a.m. - GREEN.

10:07 a.m. - YELLOW. #34 Romancini spins in Turn 4. Car is restarted by the Holmatro Safety Team and returns to the pit lane under its own power.

10:11 a.m. - GREEN

10:15 a.m. -- YELLOW. #22 Wilson spins and makes light contact with the tire barrier in Turn 10. Car is restarted by the Holmatro Safety Team and returns to the pit lane under its own power.

10:17 a.m. - GREEN.

10:23 a.m. - YELLOW. #24 Scheckter spins in Turn 12. Car is restarted by the Holmatro Safety Team and returns to the pit lane under its own power.

10:25 a.m. - GREEN.

10:30 a.m. - CHECKERED.

HONDA INDY EDMONTON RACE SPECIFICS:

•The race distance is 95 laps.

•The course used this weekend at Edmonton City Centre Airport is 1.973 miles.

•The field will take the green flag to start the race on the second time by the flag stand.

•Pit road speed limit is 60 mph.

•The total fuel allotment for the race is 82 gallons per car.

•No tow-ins or returns from the garage are allowed within 15 minutes of the end of the race.

HONDA INDY EDMONTON RACE START TIRE SELECTION:

•Primary (black): #22 Wilson, #4 Wheldon, #7 Patrick and #14 Meira.

The remaining 21 cars in the field will begin the race on the alternate (red) tires.

IZOD IndyCar Series rules mandate the use of the alternate "red" tires for at least two green-flag laps during road/street course races.

EDMONTON 100 RACE SPECIFICS:

The race distance is 50 laps.

•The field will take the green flag to start the race on the second time by the flag stand.

Pole sitter James Hinchcliffe has elected to start on the drivers' right side of the grid.

EDMONTON 100 (Firestone Indy Lights) RACE RUNNING:

12:53 p.m., Olympic curling gold medalist and Edmonton resident Kevin Martin gave the command "Drivers start your engines." All cars have started and 12 of the 13 cars are rolling on the grid. #4 Jorda has not joined the grid.

Lap 1: GREEN. #2 Hinchcliffe leads the field into Turn 1.

Lap 3: #2 Hinchcliffe leads #7 Vernay by .5003 of a second. #4 Jorda has joined the race after repairs.

Lap 6: #2 Hinchcliffe leads #7 Vernay by .5911 of a second.

Lap 11: #2 Hinchcliffe leads #7 Vernay by .7672 of a second.

Lap 12: LOCAL YELLOW. #4 Jorda off pace in Turn 8.

Lap 13: FULL COURSE YELLOW. Tow in for #4 Jorda who has stopped between Turns 8 and 9. Driver reports a gearbox issue. Leader under yellow are: #2 Hinchcliffe, #7 Vernay, #27 Plowman, #26 Kimball and #40 Clarke.

Lap 16: GREEN. #2 Hinchcliffe leads the field into Turn 1.

Lap 18: #2 Hinchcliffe leads #7 Vernay by .8125 of a second.

EDMONTON 100 (Firestone Indy Lights) POST-RACE NOTES:

· This is James Hinchcliffe's second Firestone Indy Lights win.  He won earlier this year at Long Beach.

· Both of Hinchcliffe's wins were flag-to-flag. This is the fourth time this season the race winner has lead flag-to-flag (Long Beach, Iowa, Toronto, Edmonton). 

· Rookie J.K. Vernay finished second, his seventh podium finish in eight starts this season.

· Martin Plowman finished third, his best road/street course finish in 2010.

· Plowman continues to be the only driver to finish in the top 10 of every Firestone Indy Lights race
