Son of two-time Indianapolis 500 champion Arie Luyendyk.

Moved to Scottsdale, Ariz., from native Holland when he was 2 years old.

Oldest of four children; has a sister (Maida, 17) and twin brothers (Luca and Alec, 12)

Considered a career in modeling before beginning his racing career.

Enjoys listening to music, working out, practicing yoga, traveling, cooking and snowboarding.

Favorite food is sushi; favorite band is Incubus.

· Finished fourth in Firestone Indy Lights point standings for Andretti Green Racing/AFS Racing
· Earned first career win at Chicagoland, six top-five and 11 top-10 finishes. Also won the pole at Iowa.

2007
· Competed in two Firestone Indy Lights races with Guthrie Racing.

2006
· Competed in four Indy Pro Series events with AFS Racing, recording a season-best finish of fourth at Homestead-Miami.
· Qualified 31st for the 90th Indianapolis 500, driving for Luyendyk Racing. Finished 28th in his IndyCar Series debut, retiring after 54 laps due to handling problems.

2005
· Competed in nine Indy Pro Series events, finishing in the top 10 every time.
· Recorded season-best finish of fourth at Phoenix.
· Competed in three races with AFS Racing and six races with Brian Stewart Racing.

2004

· Finished third at the SCCA F2000 Valvoline Run-Offs.
· Finished third in Formula Ford 1800 competition at the Marlboro Masters in Zandvoort, Netherlands.

· Competed in the North American Formula Ford 2000 series, earning two top-five finishes.
· Entered Skip Barber Formula Dodge competition. Claimed the pole position and the race victory in his first series start. Finished in the top three in seven of eight events.

1999
· Contested the SCCA Formula Ford 1600 national series, claiming victory in only his third series start.
· Competed in European Formula Ford 1800, with a best finish of fifth at the Marlboro Masters in Zandvoort, Netherlands.
· Competed in three events in the American Action Race Truck Series.

1998
· Entered SCCA Formula Ford 1600 regional competition, earning the pole position and race win at Phoenix International Raceway in only his second series start.
· Competed in European Formula Ford 1800 series, earning two top-10 finishes in three starts.
