Organizers of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg announced that the 2015 event will be held March 27-29.

The announcement was made before officials from the City of St. Petersburg, Pinellas County, INDYCAR and Firestone, along with series drivers, event sponsors and VIPs at its annual Green Flag Luncheon, presented by the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce, which marked the start of the 2014 event.

“We are very pleased to announce our 2015 event dates this early,” said Tim Ramsberger, President of the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg. “Announcing our dates a year in advance will allow our patrons, local businesses, events and the community to plan ahead, and will better facilitate future planning for those interested participating in or around the event.”

"Announcing the dates today lets us begin working with our local businesses, destinations, and neighbors, as well as our great partners in the St. Petersburg Chamber, Visit St. Pete/Clearwater, and many others to make next year's event even better. I know that race fans, like me, will look forward to March 27-29 of 2015 with great anticipation."
