FONTANA, Calif. -- James Hinchcliffe, meet United Fiber & Data.
The multiple IZOD IndyCar Series race winner joined team owner Michael Andretti in announcing a contract extension with Andretti Autosport.
Hinchcliffe will drive the Honda-powered No. 27 car with primary sponsorship from United Fiber & Data. The tech company was founded by three members of the multi-platinum rock band LIVE and their Think Loud Development company. UFD will also serve as a major associate on the No. 25 car driven by Marco Andretti and the No. 28 driven by 2012 series champion Ryan Hunter-Reay.

Andretti Autosport also announced earlier in the day that United Fiber & Data will serve as the primary sponsor for Pro Mazda champion Matthew Brabham as he transitions to Indy Lights in 2014.
Hinchcliffe, 26, who made his 50th IZOD IndyCar career start in the MAVTV 500 at Auto Club Speedway, earned his first series victory in the 2013 season opener at St. Petersburg and added wins at Sao Paulo, Brazil, and Iowa Speedway. His other podium finish came at Houston on Oct. 6.
“It’s great to be back with Andretti," said Hinchcliffe, who joined the team for his sophomore IZOD IndyCar Series season in 2012. "Obviously, this has been home for the last two years and we preach so much about chemistry in this team and to keep it together is awesome. I want to, first off, thank GoDaddy for the last two years and the support past that they’ve given to this team.
"I’m really excited about UFD and being able to work with those guys. I think we can do a lot together and it’s great to be back working with Michael (Andretti), Ryan (Hunter-Reay) and Marco (Andretti) and everyone on the team.”
Based in York, Pa., United Fiber & Data offers a complete suite of all-fiber networking and broadband solutions.
“Hinch is a great addition to our team, and (chairman) Chad (Taylor), (director) Bill (Hynes) and everyone at UFD have become a true part of the Andretti Autosport family. We have a great friendship and partnership in UFD, and we look forward to sharing in many more wins together.”
