Panther-DRR 2013 Team Preview

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing co-owner Dennis Reinbold said in a statement that the IZOD IndyCar Series team will compete in the series through the 97th Running of the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race and look to regrouping for 2014.

The Chevrolet-powered No. 22 car driven by Oriol Servia is entered in the Itaipava Sao Paulo Indy 300 presented by Nestle this weekend. Servia is coming off a sixth-place finish at Long Beach on April 21.

"We have a long history at the Indianapolis 500 and that is our main focus right now," team co-owner Dennis Reinbold said.

Dreyer & Reinbold Racing will retain a core group of employees at its Carmel, Ind., headquarters following the Indianapolis 500 on May 26 and has plans to field at least one entry in the 2014 Indianapolis 500.

Added team co-owner Robbie Buhl: "We have to thank our great network of partners that have supported us and we want to continue to perform at our highest level for them. We'll be working hard to bring in additional sponsors as we rebuild after Indy this year and look to next season."Prior to the 2012 Indianapolis 500, Dreyer & Reinbold Racing entered a strategic alliance with Panther Racing.

"We have a great technical partnership with Panther Racing and we look forward to continuing that through the Indy 500," Reinbold said. "We wish the No. 4 National Guard car, Panther Racing and JR Hildebrand all the best in the second half of their season. Our decision will not impact Panther Racing's operations in any way."

Larry King selects Veach as interview subject

Larry King has selected 18-year-old Firestone Indy Lights driver Zach Veach as an interview subject through the "Pick Me Larry" contest.

The interview will be broadcast on Ora TV at a time/date to be announced.

"I'm really greatful that Larry and his producers felt my story should be told through his channels," Veach said. "I think so many kids are bullied away from their true dreams and we must continue to speak out on the subject.  We are also far from where we need to be on the subject of distracted driving and I'm anxious to also talk to Larry about this topic as well."
