Veteran Jack Harvey and rookie Nolan Siegel will drive for Dale Coyne Racing this weekend at the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach.
Harvey, from England, will drive Coyne’s No. 18 Honda as an additional start to his partial schedule with the team this season. He qualified 27th and climbed to 18th in the season-opening Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding on March 10 before ceding that seat to Siegel at The Thermal Club $1 Million Challenge on March 24.
INDY NXT by Firestone points leader Siegel, from Palo Alto, California, raced an NTT INDYCAR SERIES car for the first time at Thermal. Siegel, 19, just missed the feature race after finishing seventh in his heat, missing the final transfer spot by one position and less than six-tenths of a second.
Siegel replaces veteran sports car ace Colin Braun in DCR’s No. 51. Braun was contracted to race for the team at St. Petersburg and Thermal for his first two NTT INDYCAR SERIES starts. He finished 22nd after starting 25th in his first series start at St. Petersburg and didn’t advance from his heat at Thermal.
The 85-lap race at Long Beach can be found on USA Network, Peacock, INDYCAR LIVE and the INDYCAR Radio Network at 3 p.m. ET Sunday, April 21.
