David Brown, who has more than four decades of experience in motorsports, was named Dec. 2 as technical director for Juncos Hollinger Racing (JHR) in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in 2025.
Brown succeeds Yves Touron in this role at JHR.
“I’m delighted to accept this opportunity and look forward to working with the team,” Brown said. “The NTT INDYCAR SERIES is fiercely competitive, and it’s a challenge I am ready to embrace.”
Brown’s journey in motorsport began in 1981 when he joined Williams Racing in Formula One. Over the years, he became one of the most respected race engineers in that series, playing pivotal roles with top drivers such as Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill, David Coulthard and Ayrton Senna. He also spent time at McLaren and Jordan F1 before expanding his career into sports car racing, where he worked in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS) and IMSA.
Despite his success in multiple motorsport series, Brown’s passion for open-wheel racing has remained steadfast. As technical director at JHR, he will oversee all aspects of the team’s technical development, working closely with the engineering staff, drivers and management.
“I believe the wealth of knowledge and perspective that David brings will help us fight our way up the grid during the 2025 INDYCAR SERIES season,” said Ricardo Juncos, team co-owner and founder. “I would also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the incredible contributions that Yves Touron has made to JHR. His expertise and professionalism have been truly unparalleled. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.”
Said Brad Hollinger, co-owner of JHR: “I’m excited to welcome David to Juncos Hollinger Racing. His presence reinforces our commitment to continued advancement on the technical side of the team. His vast experience in F1, as well as other forms of motorsport, will benefit the team from day one. I also want to thank Yves for his significant contributions to JHR and wish him a fulfilling and prosperous future.”
