FOX Reveals First Look of No. 12 Verizon Chevy Driven by Power in 2025
Team Penske and Verizon unveiled Nov. 24 a striking new paint scheme for the No. 12 Verizon Chevrolet driven by two-time NTT INDYCAR SERIES champion Will Power.
2018 Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge winner Power will debut this new livery at the 2025 season opener, the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding, on Sunday, March 2 on the streets of St. Petersburg, Florida. Verizon, Power and Team Penske begin their 17th season together, one of the longest-running partnerships in motorsports.
“Verizon continues to utilize motorsports to reach their customers as one of the most recognizable brands within the NTT INDYCAR SERIES,” Team Penske President Tim Cindric said. “This new livery represents the beginning of another chapter in the long-standing partnership of Team Penske, Verizon and Will Power. Verizon is a leader in their industry, and we take a great deal of pride in the successes we have had together on and off the racetrack.”
The unique livery was unveiled during the NFL doubleheader weekend on FOX, which will debut as the new broadcast partner for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in 2025. The 2025 paint scheme reflects the new Verizon branding that was rolled out during the summer to coincide with the energy and vibrancy of how Verizon powers the way people live, work and play. It is a notable change from prior liveries that Power has driven since making his INDYCAR SERIES debut for Team Penske in 2009. Power has produced 40 of his 44 career INDYCAR SERIES wins in Verizon colors.
“This bold, new livery reflects a new chapter in our partnership, showcasing the evolution of our brand and enduring connection with race fans,” said Nick Kelly, vice president of partnerships at Verizon. “We’re excited to continue this journey with one of the sport’s most accomplished teams.”
Power continues to add to a legendary INDYCAR SERIES career that places him as the all-time leader in pole positions with 70 and sole possession of fourth place on the all-time wins list with 44. His 41 wins throughout his Team Penske career put him fifth on a list of legendary drivers that have competed for the team. A total of 12 drivers have won multiple INDYCAR SERIES championships for Team Penske, with both of Power’s titles coming behind the wheel of the No. 12 Verizon entry.
“It goes without saying that I owe so much of my success to Verizon,” Power said. “They have been with me throughout my time at Team Penske, with a lot of success both on and off the track.
“We have run a variety of paint schemes in that time, but never one that stands out quite like this one. New paint schemes keep things fresh and add an extra level of excitement to an already exciting time to be in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.”
