Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US) took advantage of Formula One racing this weekend in Las Vegas to stage an opportunity for Honda-powered F1 drivers to test various machines Nov. 19 on the road course at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

One of those race vehicles was a Honda-powered NTT INDYCAR SERIES car, and six-time series champion Scott Dixon was on hand to help Visa Cash App RB Formula One driver Yuki Tsunoda get his first taste of that machine.

Also driving machines new to them were three-time defending F1 World Champion Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez of Red Bull Racing, and Tsunoda’s RB teammate, Liam Lawson.

Verstappen drove the Acura GTP prototype sports car with help from IMSA standout Colin Braun. Perez turned laps in the Honda CR-V Hybrid racer, which features the engine and hybrid system found in a Honda-powered NTT INDYCAR SERIES car dropped into a racing chassis covered by a CR-V body. Lawson turned laps in an Acura Integra race car.

The Las Vegas Grand Prix takes place Saturday night, Nov. 23 on a street circuit that includes the world-famous Strip on Las Vegas Boulevard.
