FanFest on Broadway will kick off festivities for the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix on Thursday, Aug. 3, with a Pit Stop Challenge featuring six NTT INDYCAR SERIES drivers and teams as the highlight.
Fan Fest, free and open to the public, takes place on Broadway from 1st to 4th streets and includes race cars and sponsor displays, along with the pit stop challenge that starts at 6 p.m. local time on lower Broadway between 1st and 2nd streets.
The Pit Stop Challenge features a three-round, single-elimination, bracket-style format featuring these drivers and teams competing for $10,000 in prize money:
- Scott Dixon, Chip Ganassi Racing
- Scott McLaughlin, Team Penske
- Felix Rosenqvist, Arrow McLaren
- Kyle Kirkwood, Andretti Autosport
- Agustin Canapino, Juncos Hollinger Racing
The sixth participant will be named soon, with the opening-round draw announced just before the competition.
American Legion, Pennzoil and Hy-Vee are sponsors of this fan-favorite event.
Track activity for the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix starts Friday with practice for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES and INDY NXT by Firestone. Practice and qualifying are set for Saturday. The INDY NXT by Firestone race starts at 10:10 a.m. ET Sunday (live, Peacock, INDYCAR Radio Network), with live coverage of the Big Machine Music City Grand Prix for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES starting at noon ET Sunday on NBC, Peacock and the INDYCAR Radio Network.
