An online auction for autographed DHL Pride-themed jerseys autographed by NTT INDYCAR SERIES star Romain Grosjean is underway, providing race fans an opportunity to support inclusion and diversity through motorsports.
The jerseys boast the familiar DHL red-and-yellow color scheme of the No. 28 entry driven by Grosjean and include the rainbow insignia upon the chest that boasts the “Delivered with Pride” DHL slogan. The slogan, first introduced to celebrate Pride Month in 2021 as part of a DHL initiative to build awareness about discrimination against LGBTQ+ individuals, also serves to exemplify DHL’s support for all communities.
Grosjean drove his No. 28 DHL car with the Pride livery in the 106th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge on May 29.
The auction will conclude at 11:59 p.m. (ET) Thursday, June 30. Fans can bid by clicking here. A portion of auction proceeds will be donated to GLSEN, an organization that works to ensure that LGBTQ+ youth are protected from discrimination in schools.
“I was very proud to be wearing the Pride color on my car,” Grosjean said. “It’s important that we include as many people as possible. For me, wearing those colors meant that everyone is welcome to be racing with us.”
The jersey auction is an extension of the Pride initiative championed by DHL and Grosjean.
“Response has been very good all over the world,” Grosjean said. “It was very good to see, 100 percent positive.”
One size of each jersey will be auctioned, with the sizes ranging from small to 3XL, and the starting cost for the jerseys will be $100 each, with bidding increments of $20.
