INDYCAR Fast Six: What's trending in @INDYCAR
AUG 01, 2018
INDYCAR's #FastSix is a report that borrows from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We find pics, quips and the occasional GIF as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence on Twitter, Instagram and more. Check back regularly for the latest.
The half-doughnut life
Alexander Rossi didn’t let that failed doughnut attempt after winning the Honda Indy 200 at Mid-Ohio get him down. He had some fun with “#halfdonutlife” after his celebratory gaffe.
.@AlexanderRossi: Really good at racing.

Also @AlexanderRossi: Maybe not so great at donuts.#INDYCAR // #Honda200 // @Mid_Ohio pic.twitter.com/GxiSSZvNfj
No one needs more than half a donut anyways. #halfdonutlife 😂🍩 pic.twitter.com/M97SGSDF7O

Spending our Monday thinking about yesterday's @AlexanderRossi win. And donuts. Not that those two things are connected. #IndyCar #Honda200 #AllAndretti pic.twitter.com/i95cRcnPx9

More Power equals Beau Power
We knew Indy 500 champ Will Power had a very, very cute child. But now, Beau, who will be 2 in December, is behind the wheel and ready to race. Looks just like Dad’s No. 12 Verizon Team Penske Chevrolet. From the looks of the rear wing, we'd guess it's in superspeedway aero configuration.
Could we be looking at the 2040 Indianapolis 500 winner?
Beau likes his first car... pic.twitter.com/JqE3b5Obh7

Conor Daly snaps back to reality
After his run at Mid-Ohio Sports Car Course with Harding Racing, Conor Daly’s life took a 180-degree turn. From hair-raising on-track action to … building IKEA furniture.
Ah yes, back to reality. Wondering if this is the week I should buy groceries... thinking about how I can get myself in an INDYCAR again... building a piece of @IKEAUSA furniture on my floor while watching the #BruceWillisRoast pic.twitter.com/GhLloiXFr3

Remembering our friend Justin Wilson
The beloved driver died in a 2015 incident at Pocono Raceway. The global racing community took a moment to remember Wilson on Tuesday, which would have been his 40th birthday.
Today would have been Justin Wilson's 40th birthday. He'll always be missed by us and the racing community. His last victory was in Texas in 2012, while driving the @SonnysBBQ car. #INDYCAR // @DaleCoyneRacing pic.twitter.com/etX6w8HEUX

Competition for Courtney
At his hometown Mid-Ohio course, Graham Rahal had a ball with local fans on race weekend. He held several autograph events. One, it turns out, might have yielded a new kind of competition for his wife, drag racer Courtney Force.
The best stories
Yeah, it’s probably safe to assume racing legend Mario Andretti has his fair share of exciting stories. Grandson Marco is still an avid listener.
