We find pics, quips and the occasional GIF as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence on Twitter, Instagram and more. Check back regularly for the latest.
XOXs from Team Chevy
We all know that racers like to play games. So, even when there was a red flag on Sunday the Honda Indy Grand Prix of Alabama presented by America’s First, it was only a little surprising to see Chevrolet teams slowing down with a game of Twitter tic-tac-toe. Looking further down the chain, though, we’re not sure who won and suggest they stick to INDYCAR racing.

A clean seat is a happy seat
The internet almost broke when Schmidt Peterson Motorsports driver James Hinchcliffe hilariously detailed an unfortunate fact of racing: Sometimes, drivers get stuck in their race cars when they really need a bathroom break. And sometimes the race car becomes the bathroom for the break. Such was the fate of Hinch at Barber.
But, what happens after the deed is done? This. This is what happens:

Food break
The positive side of a rainout is that we get to know the INDYCAR drivers better. Now we understand what it takes to keep INDYCAR champ and #HIGPA winner Josef Newgarden motivated.
Hey everyone, just a quick update. I found this extremely delicious and moist (great descriptor for cake) chocolate cake. The snack crisis is over 🙏 pic.twitter.com/BUmQKlbfGR

‘No possible way you can do that without just grinning’ – Channing Tatum
Among the fans who braved the soaking weather at Barber Motorsports Park on Sunday was A-list actor Channing Tatum, who said he giggled through a rainy ride as he and Honda Fastest Seat in Sports driver Arie Luyendyk Jr. led the field to the green flag in the INDYCAR two-seater.
Crazy fast couple laps in the rain!! Thanks @ariejr! And what an incredibly beautiful track Mr. Barber. Can’t wait to come back here and rip some hot laps. pic.twitter.com/RcWdlQDec1

Cover shot
Before it landed on newsstands in the “Racing Capital of the World,” Indianapolis Monthly tweeted a sneak peek Chip Ganassi Racing driver Scott Dixon and his wife, Emma, who are on this month’s cover. The racing royals look particularly fetching in Dixon’s No. 9 PNC Bank Honda.
👀 Look at what just arrived in our offices. The May issue of Indianapolis Monthly is gorgeous! Thanks to our talented models @scottdixon9 and @EmmaDaviesDixon for making this a fun cover shoot. Subscribe to #IndyMonthly today: https://t.co/nVhRgfJ0cL #IMIndy #ThisIsMay pic.twitter.com/yHOQ4ecCH2

‘Hug someone you love tonight’ – James Hinchcliffe
When news of the tragedy of the Toronto van attack, which claimed the lives of 10 people in Canada’s deadliest mass killing in decades, got to Hinchcliffe, he took to Twitter to express grief about what happened in his home city.
Great day on track, come home and it feels like it doesn’t matter at all. Just floored by hearing what happened in Toronto. Heart broken for those people and their families. Our city is strong and times like this showcase it better than any. Hug someone you love tonight.
