INDYCAR Fast Six: What's trending in @INDYCAR from Feb. 8-14
FEB 15, 2017
INDYCAR's "Fast Six" is a report derived from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We seek and find pics and quips as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence into tweets, Instagrams and more. Check back regularly when we post the latest.
Star struck
Even Verizon IndyCar Series drivers get star struck. That’s exactly what happened to Max Chilton when he ran into Michael Phelps, the most decorated Olympian of all time, at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport following the Verizon IndyCar Series test at Phoenix Raceway. Looks like Phelps was as gracious with Chilton as Chilton is with his race fans!
I never like to disturb people but when your in the presence of the most decorated Olympian of all time & his lovely wife it's hard not too🏅 pic.twitter.com/792wzy92V8

Parking in Jay Leno’s Garage
Speaking of celebrities, with pointers from four-time Verizon IndyCar Series champion and 2008 Indianapolis 500 winner Scott Dixon, Jay Leno got behind the wheel of an Indy car at Phoenix. Dixon was impressed with Leno’s love for racing and Tweeted about it.
Sure was fun to work with Jay Leno this morning. Cool to see his passion for racing and cars. He can wheel a car too! #indycar pic.twitter.com/sg41OzuMUP

Pacers game night
Still talking celebs, Conor Daly, Sage Karam and Stefan Wilson ran into funny man Adam Devine, co-creator of Comedy Central’s “Workaholics,” at Monday’s Indiana Pacers NBA game. They apparently got on well, as Daly and his teammates had a little bromance going at Devine’s Valentine’s Day standup show in Indianapolis.
Alright, this was cool. One of the funniest dudes out there @ADAMDEVINE is in Indy! Good meeting you dude #PacersGameNight pic.twitter.com/cdHwsy7wfy

Love & INDYCAR
Valentine’s Day brought out the romantic side of INDYCAR’s drivers, married and single, and their social media feeds illustrated the warmth.
Our nomination for the sweetest Tweet goes to new dad Will Power, who posted this photo of his little family’s oval of kisses:
This adorable post, from Ryan Hunter-Reay’s wife, Beccy, is a winner, too:
And then there’s Conor Daly and his AJ Foyt Racing Indy car.
Happy Valentines Day ladies, hope you get all your heart desires. My girl is getting a nice post-test rub down 👌🇺🇸 pic.twitter.com/8Ha63gBhfa

Labor of love
As he was leaving the Phoenix test, James Hinchcliffe used a cool photo to remind us of one of his loves – his day job.
Two days of further validation of my belief that I have the best job in the world. I love driving Indy cars. Like, a lot. pic.twitter.com/2rWOpODeQn

Doing the INDYCAR double
For those of you who enjoy a good run, you can get one in this year in Indianapolis with super-fit Tony Kanaan as your pacesetter. He’s participating in the OneAmerica 500 Festival Mini-Marathon this year and, that evening, will appear at Rev, the party that kicks off the month of May at Indianapolis Motor Speedway – it’s a full day that could be considered an “INDYCAR double!”
🇺🇸 Can you beat me in a race? You'll have to do it on foot 😜! I’ll be the pacesetter at the @500Festival Learn More: https://t.co/rMN8Rn1kh9 pic.twitter.com/3Qogub73E0
