JAN 25, 2017
INDYCAR's "Fast Six" is a report derived from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We seek and find pics and quips as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence into tweets, Instagrams and more. Check back regularly when we post the latest.

Scott Dixon and his wife, Emma, find the very best vacation spots. This week, Dixon’s Twitter shows us, Emma is sipping coconut milk in St. Lucia. On the towel next to her, Scott’s keeping his mind on his day job by reading Bruce McLaren’s 1964 autobiography, “From the Cockpit.”
Down to there, hair!
Farther north, Tony Kanaan competed with six other Verizon IndyCar Series drivers in the Race Of Champions all-star event in Miami. When he wasn’t racing, Kanaan spent time with self-proclaimed urban outlaw Magnus Walker, known as one of world’s most prolific Porsche collectors. We love the snap that the hairless Kanaan Instagrammed with the dreadlocked Walker and, considering Kanaan’s stubble, wonder if Walker’s influence is rubbing off.

In other celebrity news, James Hinchcliffe stopped by the set of the Canadian comedy-drama series, “Private Eyes,” and snapped a photo with former Indy Lights driver and team co-owner Jason Priestley, a fellow Canadian.
Had a blast with the legend @Jason_Priestley when I swung by the set of #PrivateEyes last week. We still have to name your car! pic.twitter.com/d8ShDDcWfb

INDYCAR media day 2017
The Verizon IndyCar Series hosted its 2017 media day in Indianapolis on Jan. 18 and that produced social media posts of all kinds. Drivers dressed up, talked about their favorite things and some even juggled.

And when the last interview was done, Ed Carpenter and JR Hildebrand decompressed with a game of table tennis. Ed Carpenter Racing camera captured it on video.

Pit stop challenge
Speaking of Ed Carpenter Racing, its pit stop practices are on fast forward in the team Twitter feed and it’s pretty cool. We wish them luck on moving at that speed come March.

It looks like French Verizon IndyCar Series champ Simon Pagenaud is set up with a great, big American ride. We’ll bet he can make crepes in his fancy new fifth wheel, too.
