Verizon IndyCar Series drivers Josef Newgarden and Marco Andretti created the most unique “Dancing with the Stars” viewing party of all Monday evening in New York City’s SoHo neighborhood.

As James Hinchcliffe and Sharna Burgess foxtrotted their way to early success on the other coast in Los Angeles, Andretti and Newgarden streamed DWTS on Andretti’s smartphone from their seats on the front row of high-end clothier Rag & Bone’s New York Fashion Week show. The Rag & Bone Spring 2017 show was fashionably late getting started and that provided just enough time for his friends and fellow competitors to see Hinchcliffe and Burgess dazzle.

Andretti and Newgarden looked good, too. The brand dressed them, head to toe, in new Rag & Bone looks for the occasion.

It was the first New York Fashion Week event either attended, so they were a little unsure when they entered the studio space and sat down on the coveted front row – seats reserved for celebrities and fashion editors. Nearby, and also dressed in Rag & Bone, was the New York Knicks’ Carmelo Anthony; Albert Hammond Jr., member of the indie rock band The Strokes and a fashion designer; dancer and choreographer Mikhail Baryshnikov, and New York Yankees legend Derek Jeter’s wife, Hannah.

“I had a great time. It’s the first time I’ve ever seen a fashion show and you don’t really know what to expect,” said Newgarden, driver of the No. 21 Fuzzy's Ultra Premium Vodka Chevrolet for Ed Carpenter Racing.

The models, who walked the runway, expressionless and staring straight ahead, reminded Newgarden of race car drivers.

“They are all pros,” he said. “They look like drivers on the runway because they are zoned in with what they are doing.”

Andretti and Newgarden are both fans of the Rag & Bone brand, so they liked what they saw on the runway. Don’t be surprised, in the future, to see them both wearing the same pair of white high-tops.

“They definitely made some sales,” said Andretti, driver of the No. 27 Snapple Honda for Andretti Autosport. “It was a lot to take in at once, trying to look at all the different unique beautiful-looking individuals as well as the different attire, so it was cool.”

While taking it all in in SoHo, they supported Hinchcliffe, too.

“Rolling to the @ragandbone fashion show in NYC tonight with MA. Wishing our boy @hinchtown good luck tonight on @dancingabc as well. Vote #TeamStopAndGo #indycar,” Newgarden captioned an Instagram photo.

Just before the Rag & Bone show started and after seeing Hinchcliffe dance, Andretti tweeted, “@Hinchtown nailed it.” And he did.
