Verizon IndyCar Series championship contenders Will Power, Helio Castroneves and Simon Pagenaud were the center of attention for the media and fans during the MAVTV 500 preview Aug. 28 at The Grove entertainment complex in Los Angeles.

Drivers reciprocated, signing autographs and drawing for free tickets given to fans to the title-deciding race under the lights Aug. 30 at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana, Calf.

Castroneves scored the most points in a three-event challenge during the promotional event. Drivers were paired with fans to make smoothies with a blender bicycle, change a tire like a member of  pit crew and play a version of the game show “Pyramid.” Team Helio was able to win the blender bike and “Pyramid” challenges to score the most points. Pagenaud’s team won the pit stop challenge while Power’s team came away in third.
