He said it: "This track is pretty interesting in qualifying. It's anybody's guess who is going to end up up front. I’m just happy to be starting on the front row -- more than anything to be out of the accordion effect for Turn 1, and hopefully on the restarts as well, hopefully we'll still be up there. Three races out of four on the front row, I’m really proud of the guys and the cars they've been giving me. Now we just need to bring home some good points. That's most important, heading into Indy.”
What to watch: Will Power has won all three of the previous IZOD IndyCar Series races at Sao Paulo, but has not scored a victory since this race last year. He'll start 22nd.
Also keep an eye on Turn 11 because the 180-degree turn is a high-risk versus reward area if a driver wants to muscle his way past another competitor.
Did you know: One of the longest straightaways of any track on the schedule, the nearly one-mile long straight gives plenty of high-speed action followed by a heavy braking area, which provides excellent passing opportunities in the race.
Up next: 97th Running of the Indianapolis 500 on May 26 (11 a.m. ET on ABC).
