The Itaipava São Paulo Indy 300 presented by Nestle on April 29 is the fourth race of the IZOD IndyCar Series season and the fourth consecutive road/street race.

The 75-lap race will be televised by NBC Sports Network at noon (ET). The broadcast will be preceded by "INDYCAR 36," featuring Ryan Hunter-Reay.

The temporary street circuit features 11 quick corners, including a 180-degree turn from the nearly mile-long backstretch into the Anhembi Sambodomo (the stadium used for the parades of Carnival), spread over a 2.6-mile temporary circuit with asphalt/concrete surfaces.

“The race in São Paulo will be a great show; the track is awesome,” Brazil native Tony Kanaan said. “I can't wait to see the stands filled with fans and to feel their enthusiasm.”

Added compatriot Rubens Barrichello, who recorded his second consecutive top-10 finish in the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach: "To start so far back and finish in the top 10 again shows I am getting better and better, so hopefully I will have my best result two weeks from now in Brazil.”

Will Power has won the past two IZOD IndyCar Series races in Brazil -- from the pole in 2011 -- while the other podium finishers have included Graham Rahal and Ryan Briscoe in '11 and Hunter-Reay and Vitor Meira in 2010.

In 16 seasons, the fourth race of the season has been won by the eventual series champion twice (Dan Wheldon in 2005 at Twin Ring Motegi and Sam Hornish Jr. in 2006 at Indianapolis).
