Day at the Masters: Hanging with Bubba, Rory
APR 10, 2012
This past weekend I was lucky enough to be able to go to the Masters in Augusta. It was really exciting.
It was the first time I saw a golf tournament in person, and for it to be one of the most prestigious tournament in the world was a dream come true.
Augusta is beautiful. The fairways and greens looked perfect. The funny thing about the Masters is that you can’t bring your phone or your camera in. It was a bit strange not having my phone with me, but it was actually a fun experience, because instead of looking at your phone while waiting for the next golfer you actually talk to the people around you.
The coolest think I think I saw was actually watching all the pros practicing on the driving range. Because you know when you and I go to the practice range there are golf balls everywhere except on the green. Well here it was the total opposite.
It was incredible watching them hit like 20 shots within 5 feet of the pin. Unfortunately, I didn’t see the double eagle for Louis Oosthuizen, but I definitely heard it. It felt like a big football game in Europe.
I had an incredible day following Tiger, Rory, Bubba and Phil and hope to do it again next year.
