Juncos Hollinger Racing (JHR) announced Nov. 2 that veteran Romain Grosjean will drive its No. 77 Chevrolet during the 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season.
Grosjean, a Swiss-born Frenchman, will enter his fourth INDYCAR SERIES season and first with JHR as a teammate to Argentine driver Agustin Canapino. Grosjean finished 13th in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES standings for Andretti Global in 2023, with consecutive runner-up finishes at Long Beach and Barber Motorsports Park as his best results.
"I've been closely following JHR's ascension in the past few seasons,” Grosjean said. “The team has showcased significant growth, and I am eager to contribute my experience as we aim for a strong 2024 season.”
Grosjean, 37, came to America to compete in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES in 2021 after nine full seasons in Formula One. He won the GP2 Series (now Formula 2) championship in 2011. He has recorded five runner-up finishes and three poles during his INDYCAR SERIES career.
“Romain Grosjean brings an unparalleled pedigree in motorsports,” said Ricardo Juncos, JHR co-owner and team principal. “His leadership and experience are precisely what we need to propel JHR to new heights in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES.”
Said Brad Hollinger, JHR co-owner: "Romain Grosjean has a history of competing at the pinnacle of motorsports. His expertise will be invaluable as we strive to redefine our performance metrics, both on and off the track.”
The 2024 NTT INDYCAR SERIES season starts with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg presented by RP Funding on Sunday, March 10.
