Juncos Hollinger Racing and driver Matteo Nannini have ended their INDY NXT by Firestone competition relationship, according to a team announcement.
“This has been a team decision to terminate the contract effective immediately,” a team social media post said.
No replacement driver has been named yet for the next round of the championship Saturday, July 22 at Iowa Speedway. Rasmus Lindh is the team’s other driver in INDY NXT by Firestone.
Series rookie Nannini, 20, from Italy, is 12th in the INDY NXT by Firestone standings after seven races this season. He earned his first career series victory May 13 on the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course, leading all 35 laps from the pole in the No. 75 Juncos Hollinger Racing entry.
Nannini’s victory was the first for JHR in INDY NXT by Firestone competition since September 2019.
