Before things heat up in Florida for INDYCAR, Team Penske’s Josef Newgarden had a cool opportunity to take in the Nashville Predators NHL home game up close and personal, thanks to NTT IndyCar Series broadcast partner NBCSN. Newgarden made sure to thank his hosts for the invitation with an appropriate gift for broadcaster Pierre McGuire, who had a close call a few weeks ago with a speeding puck.

Sounds like everyone is ready to (rock n’) roll!

The 2019 NTT IndyCar Series season revs up this weekend with the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg, and no one can wait to hear the sounds of engines firing up and watch the fierce battles on track. Until that happens, however, we were gifted these sounds and a competition of a different kind.

Fierce competition

From sour notes to sour candies, the competition has been fierce amongst drivers away from the track this offseason. As this video from our friends at NBC demonstrates clearly, it is really time to get the drivers back on track where they belong.

Practice makes perfect

While those last two social media posts clearly demonstrate that drivers are itching to get back on track for some real competition, teams like Carlin didn’t sit idle this past week – using every last chance to get into game shape before the green flag drops on the 2019 season.
