Scott Dixon and Kyle Larson

INDYCAR's #FastSix is a report that borrows from all things found online about Verizon IndyCar Series racing, its drivers and people. We find pics, quips and the occasional GIF as INDYCAR drivers live their extraordinary lives and put the evidence on Twitter, Instagram and more. Check back regularly for the latest.

She said yes!

The holidays are known to bring joy and surprises. Gabby Chaves, who drove for Harding Racing in 2018, decided his holiday surprise would include a proposal to his long-time girlfriend, Gabby, on Christmas Day. Members of the INDYCAR paddock offered congratulations. Good friend and Andretti Autosport driver Zach Veach couldn’t be happier for his close friends. Congratulations, Gabby and Gabby!

Milk or eggnog?

It is fitting to drink milk after winning the Indianapolis 500 and fitting to drink eggnog during the holiday season. But not for Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi. The 2016 Indy 500 winner chose #notnog while wearing a festive sweater.

Perfect gift

When your uncle is an INDYCAR driver, it is only fitting that you would receive your own race car as a Christmas gift. Team Penske’s Simon Pagenaud found that perfect gift for his nephew: a ride on Disney’s Lightning McQueen. Based on his steering position, Simon says he looks to be a natural.

Father-daughter dance

Christmas Eve is a special night for young children. Three-time Indianapolis 500 winner Helio Castroneves treated his daughter, Mikaella, to a special Christmas Eve father-daughter dance. We bet those “Dancing with the Stars” paid off.

Down Under reunion

While 2018 Verizon IndyCar Series champion Scott Dixon was visiting his home country of New Zealand, he ran into a fellow Chip Ganassi Racing driver, Kyle Larson. The NASCAR ace was in New Zealand racing at Western Springs Speedway.

A new tradition

Tradition is a word synonymous with both the holiday season and the Indianapolis 500. 2013 Indianapolis 500 winner Tony Kanaan brought his three sons to see the Lights at the Brickyard display at Indianapolis Motor Speedway and made a special stop at the famous yard of bricks. All four of the Kanaan men bent down to kiss the bricks. Maybe a new tradition in the Kanaan household has been initiated.
