Felix Serralles will partner with returning driver Ed Jones in Carlin’s lineup for the British squad’s second year in Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tires.
Serralles, who claimed his first win in Indy Lights at Milwaukee in 2015, scored a total of two podiums in his rookie season after returning to the U.S., after pursuing his career in Europe’s junior series, where he regularly competed against drivers from Carlin.
"I have wanted to be a part of this great team for a number of years while I was racing in Europe,” said the Puerto Rican-born Serralles. “I am really pleased this opportunity has now presented itself for me and I look forward to bringing home trophies with Carlin this year."
Carlin’s first season in the series was an exciting one, with the team taking victory in the first three races of 2015 and challenging for the championship title with Jones and scoring another win with Max Chilton at Iowa.
“We’ve raced against Felix for many years now, both in Europe and last season in Indy Lights,” said team principal Trevor Carlin. “He’s a driver we’ve long admired and I know from watching his career the potential he has. It’s fantastic that instead of racing against him we now have the opportunity to work with Felix and see what we can achieve together. With Felix and Ed we have a very strong team. Race wins should be the aim from the outset.”
