• What to watch, according to Sebastien Bourdais, with rain forecast for the afternoon: "(Concrete patches in some corners is) very much like a polished concrete. You look in the mirror, if the sun is at the right angle, it shines, which shows you how slick it is. When you throw some water on it, it's definitely quite exciting. It's very unpredictable. You go into the corner and you catch the car, you lose the car, catch the car again.
"The visibility can be very treacherous on the back straightaway. It's a lot of things to overcome and it would be a shame if it was raining during (the) race. We all know how tough it will be to race in; it's more about survival at that point."
• 2014 races: Bourdais of KVSH Racing won Race 1 from the pole and Mike Conway of Ed Carpenter Racing won Race 2. Tony Kanaan was a double podium finisher (third and second).
