Juan Pablo Montoya has competed in three Verizon IndyCar Series road/street course races for Team Penske, and on April 30 was testing for the fourth -- the inaugural Grand Prix of Indianapolis on the 2.439-mile, 14-turn road circuit May 10.
Montoya, a seven-time winner in F1, recently told Germany's Auto Motor und Sport that he switched off the Chinese Grand Prix television broadcast "after five laps."
Montoya said he did not find the Shanghai spectacle "exciting" enough, adding that part of the problem is the loss of the high-revving, screaming engines of the past. But the main issue is that the Verizon IndyCar Series is simply better racing.
