Adam Richman visits the Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Enjoying the company of super fans and experiencing the culinary creations and cultural experiences at the wildest gatherings across the nation is the premise of  the new show “Adam Richman’s Fandemonium” on The Travel Channel.

Beer Taps at Indy 500Naturally, among the first stops for the host was the Indianapolis 500 Mile Race. The episode airs at 9 p.m. (ET) Aug. 18.

Richman, who starred in the popular "Man v. Food" on the network, and the crew filmed from Coors Light Carb Day through Race Day on May 26.

The 30-minute show features enthusiastic fans and their ingenious tailgate setups, one-of-a-kind traditions, creative race-themed food and the best parties in the parking/camping areas at “The Greatest Spectacle in Racing.”

Richman also will present a culinary creation inspired by the event to a group of fans.

Join Hildebrand, crew at Second Harvest in San Jose

JR Hildebrand, driver of the No. 98 Barracuda Racing car for the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma, will be at Second Harvest Food Bank's Cypress Center in San Jose, Calif., from 10-11 a.m. Aug. 20 to greet fans. There also will be pit stop demonstrations.

Headquartered in the Bay Area, Barracuda Networks is a supporter of the Second Harvest Food Bank. Barracuda Networks CEO BJ Jenkins will co-chair Second Harvest's Holiday Food and Fund Drive this fall, along with Dan Campbell, COO for Backup and Recovery Systems at EMC Corporation.

Make winning bid, get a ride with IZOD IndyCar Series driver

Twelve winning bidders will ride around the 2.385-mile course with their favorite IZOD IndyCar Series driver before the start of the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma at Sonoma Raceway on Aug. 25 through a live auction at the track.

Other items available include an A.J. Foyt autographed piston, a Dario Franchitti signed helmet, a Nolan Ryan autographed baseball and a GoPro camera. The auction, which benefits Speedway Children’s Charities, begins at 10:15 a.m. (local) in the INDYCAR Fan Village in the paddock (preview at 9:30).

Drives on two different courses ...

Indianapolis 500 competitor Conor Daly will see the Indianapolis Motor Speedway road course from a different perspective this weekend as he gets a ride on the Ducati two-seater as part of the Red Bull Indianapolis GP.

Daly also will join IZOD IndyCar Series drivers Graham Rahal and Simona De Silvestro in participating in the Bridgestone Golf Challenge with several MotoGP riders and cycle legend Kenny Roberts at the Brickyard Crossing next to -- and inside -- the track.

... and Power part of Woodward Dream Cruise

Team Penske's Will Power will greet fans at the Chevrolet Performance display Aug. 17 in Memorial Park in Royal Oak, Mich., during the Woodward Dream Cruise.

Chevrolet is the presenting sponsor of the annual celebration of car culture that takes place on a 16-mile stretch of Woodward Avenue between 8 Mile Road in Detroit and Pontiac, Mich., that attracts thousands of muscle cars, street rods, custom, collector and special interest vehicles in addition to other attractions, food vendors and concerts.

Honorary Team Penske pit crew member

Sher Shepps of Portland, Ore., will be an honorary pit crew member for the No. 3 Team Penske car driven by IZOD IndyCar Series championship points leader Helio Castroneves at the GoPro Grand Prix of Sonoma.

She won the “Cheer for Gear” sweepstakes held by Hitachi, which is the primary sponsor of the No. 3 car for nine races this season. Hitachi also supplies components for the engines supplied by Chevrolet and Honda.
