Foreigner

Legendary rock band Foreigner will headline the Saturday night concert at the 50th Anniversary Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach, taking place April 12, delivering a perfect mix of classic rock and NTT INDYCAR SERIES racing excitement.

Known for its chart-topping hits such as “I Want To Know What Love Is,” “Cold As Ice,” “Juke Box Hero,” and “Hot Blooded,” Foreigner has captivated audiences around the world with powerful performances and timeless music. With more top-10 hits than Aerosmith and Journey, and as many as Fleetwood Mac, Kelly Hansen (lead vocals), Jeff Pilson (bass), Michael Bluestein (keyboards), Bruce Watson (guitar), Chris Frazier (drums) and Luis Maldonado (guitar) will bring fans attending the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach the chance to experience their legendary sound live in concert.

The concert will take place at 6:30 p.m. PT on the Long Beach Performing Arts Center’s outdoor stage, located at the heart of the Acura Grand Prix’s festive atmosphere. The concert is free to all Saturday ticket holders, making it an incredible bonus for race fans enjoying the high-speed thrills of the weekend.

“We have so much in common with the Long Beach Grand Prix,” Hansen said. “The band was formed by Rock & Roll Hall of Fame member Mick Jones in 1976, so our 50th anniversary is very close to yours. Additionally, most of us live right here in the Los Angeles area, and we love motorsports.

“Foreigner has played the Indy 500 twice and made multiple NASCAR performances across the country. We are so looking forward to our show with you all and hope this will be the first of many such appearances.”

Tickets for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach are available at www.gplb.com or by calling 888-827-7333.
