Agustin Canapino will return to the No. 78 Juncos Hollinger Racing Chevrolet for the rest of the season starting at the Firestone Grand Prix of Monterey on Sunday, June 23 at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca, team officials announced June 12.
Second-year NTT INDYCAR SERIES driver Canapino, from Argentina, stepped out of his ride at the XPEL Grand Prix of Road America presented by AMR on June 7-9 in the aftermath of online abuse directed toward Theo Pourchaire of Arrow McLaren after he made contact with Canapino’s car June 7 during the Chevrolet Detroit Grand Prix presented by Lear.
Rookie Nolan Siegel drove the No. 78 to a 23rd-place finish last Sunday at Road America.
