The IZOD IndyCar Series returns to Belle Isle for the first time since 2008. The Chevrolet Detroit Belle Isle Grand Prix will be held a week after the Indianapolis 500.
Tony Kanaan (2007) and Justin Wilson (’08) won IZOD IndyCar Series events on the picturesque 2.1-mile street course. Chevrolet re-enters the series as an engine manufacturer in 2012.
