Over the past two years VERSUS has become the fastest growing sports cable network in the country and 2009 was the highest-rated and most-watched year in network history. 2009 also marked VERSUS’ first year of a ten-year deal as the exclusive cable television home of the IZOD IndyCar Series and fans were given more racing action than ever before with seven hours of coverage during each race week. This in-depth and all-encompassing coverage resonated with motorsports fans as 29.5 million viewers tuned in to the inaugural IndyCar season on VERSUS. |

In 2010 VERSUS will air once again air 12 live races and will open the season on March 14, in Sao Paulo, Brazil—one of the new events on this year’s schedule. Each of VERSUS’ fully HD race telecasts are a minimum of three hours and include extended pre- and post-race coverage. VERSUS' commitment to super-serve motorsports fans extends beyond the live races with a one-hour preview show the day before each race that features qualification highlights and all of the relevant IZOD IndyCar Series stories of that weekend as well as extensive coverage of the qualification events leading up to the Indianapolis 500. Throughout the season VERSUS will also air many hours of IndyCar Series ancillary programming focused on the drivers, teams and tracks. Further, VERSUS will re-air IndyCar Series races the week following the live race telecast and will provide coverage of the Indy Lights Firestone Freedom 100 in late May. The network assembled a stellar group of on-air talent last year with an incredible amount of on- and off-track experience with all members of the team returning for the 2010 race season. Bob Jenkins, Jon Beekhuis and Robbie Buhl will again serve as the in-booth announce team, while Robbie Floyd, Jack Arute and Lindy Thackston will provide trackside updates and reports during each telecast.
